Nicholas Moraitakis

Hello, my name is Nic!

I see myself as an outgoing and creative person who likes a challenge. I’ve enjoyed performing in bands and in productions during my schooling and outside of school. A passion of mine is to help people. I’ve volunteered with mental health organisations such as Batyr and RUOK and advocated for the extra attention mental health in schools needs.

I feel that I am confident, creative, and passionate and I have an adventurous spirit that takes me outdoors and exploring! From hiking and wilderness journeys to road trips and scuba diving adventures underwater, I love to travel and be active. I also play team sports such as hockey and soccer as well as short distance running in athletics squads. Socially, I enjoy both listening and playing music, watching theatre and going to gigs, and teaching and volunteering for causes.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Majoring in Data)/Diploma of Professional Engineering Practice. I chose this degree because I completed a high level of maths in high school and I really wanted to use it in the real world so my learning didn’t stop when I was 18. Some of my key strengths are time management, my determination, and my ability to binge watch TV shows.

I feel that I am a great tutor because I believe that ability and capability can be improved and should not be limited by class. I say, “Do the hard work now so you don’t have to later.” Applying yourself in the now allows for an easier path with multiple options later.
