Holly Williamson

Hello, my name is Holly!

I went to school at Queensland Academies for Health Sciences on the Gold Coast, and moved to Brisbane to study. I graduated from the IB diploma with an IB44/ATAR 99.85. . My best personality traits include being an analytical thinker, confident, thoughtful, intuitive, resilient, informed and kind. I also love playing social netball and touch football, doing yoga, watching movies, spending time with my family and friends, and learning.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Queensland. I chose this degree because it is my initial program before I commence the Doctor of Medicine. My current degree will prepare me well for future study and a career as a physician. I am very capable in my academics and have achieved success through sheer hard work and self-motivation.

For tutoring, my strengths involve helping students reach their potential and developing a sense of responsibility. Besides that, I am an expert sudoku-solver and a great listener. I feel that I am a great tutor because as the eldest sister in my family, from a young age I thrived when sharing my expertise with my two younger brothers. From tying shoelaces, to making dinner, I constantly found myself in the position of ‘teacher’. Beyond my natural inclination towards collaboration and mentoring, I am an expert in high school content. I have experience tutoring students from seven to 18 years old, so I have a thorough understanding of content and curriculum requirements at all levels. I also value developing a personal connection with my students and acting as an approachable mentor rather than a teacher.
