Alyssa Lee-Knauer

Hello, my name is Alyssa! I’m a calm and artistic person with too many books and not enough bookshelves. I’m an avid traveller and when I’m not working, you can find me planning my next holiday. I’m open-minded and receptive to change; it takes a lot to rattle me. I’m also a creative person who enjoys approaching challenges from an alternative perspective.

I also enjoy painting – in my spare time I sell painted denim jeans and jackets and I am an avid reader of any book regardless of genre. My favourite novel is ‘Lolita’ by Vladimir Nabokov and I enjoy discussions about history. I spend too much time with my dog and I’ve stepped into the role of Plant Mum recently with mediocre results.

I am currently on a gap year before uni and working several jobs to fill the time, but planning to study Law and Western Civilisation. I chose this degree because I enjoy learning about the development of humanity, whether it be through societal or cultural means. Law and WC encompass my interests perfectly in that it explores the history of humans and how we’ve evolved.

I’m creative and always ready for a good chat about current events. Independence and resilience are key strengths of mine. I feel that I am a great tutor because I’m passionate about learning and will take the time to discuss topics in great depth.
